JJ Redick Retires from NBA After 15 Seasons

Former All-Star Guard to Join ESPN as Analyst

Los Angeles Lakers Hire JJ Redick as New Head Coach

In a surprising move, JJ Redick has retired from the NBA and signed a deal with ESPN to become an NBA analyst. The former All-Star guard announced his retirement in a video posted on social media today, expressing gratitude for his 15 seasons in the league.

Redick's retirement comes just seven weeks after the Los Angeles Lakers fired Darvin Ham. The Lakers have now hired Redick as their new head coach, hoping to turn around a disappointing season and make a run at the playoffs.

Redick was a standout player at Duke University, where he led the Blue Devils to the 2004 NCAA Championship. He was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Over the course of his career, Redick played for seven different teams, including the Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks. He was a three-time All-Star selection and was known for his exceptional shooting ability.

Redick is expected to provide valuable insights as an NBA analyst for ESPN, given his experience as a player and his knowledge of the game. The Lakers, meanwhile, hope that Redick can help them get back on track and compete for a championship.
